Having written a bunch of infrastructure code over the last few years I learned a bunch on how to best structure code but also how to maintain it. One thing that helped a great deal was figuring out a thorough testing strategy for writing infrastructure code.
Fast iteration times are crucial for modern software development as they allow teams to run more experiments and deliver more value to their users and ultimately the business.
